TUCKER WETMORE - Wind Up Missing You - Back Blocks Music

Country music newcomer Tucker Wetmore first introduced himself to the mainstream world in February with the release of his debut single, “Wine Into Whiskey”.  Barely a month after landing on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Kalama, Washington native is back with a follow-up single.

“Wind Up Missing You” is available both digitally and on all streaming platforms now via Back Blocks Music.

Written by Wetmore along with Thomas Archer and Chris La Corte, the tune finds the country crooner determined to win the heart of a someone with whom he wants more than a casual fling.  A cleverly-crafted lyrical delivery alongside a modern country melody, this song will lend itself to droves of fans of the contemporary style of country music.

“You look like waves on a sunset

And you can crash on me all night

You like wine in a truck bed

A little what I’m doing for the rest of my life ‘cause

You look like I’m done looking

But, girl, the hard truth is

If this night don’ turn into two

You look like I’m gonna wind up missin’ you”

Tucker’s twangy delivery invites the listener into his small-town country boy demeanor, while also showcasing his quickly developing talent as a songwriter.  The song has already gained incredible notoriety amongst fans and followers, having garnered over 11 million views and 83,000 sound UGC’s on TikTok.  In such a short time after moving to Nashville in 2020, Wetmore is making a name for himself with fellow artists, critics and industry reps alike as an artist on the rise, having signed a publishing deal with Back Blocks Music in 2023.

And while “Wind Up Missing You” is sure to demand the industry’s attention, “Wine Into Whiskey” has put the Washington native in rare company.  Having hit the No. 22 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and No. 77 on Billboard’s Hot 100, the tune has made Tucker the first independent country artist to hit the Hot 100 since Oliver Anthony.

Wetmore is currently on the road, serving as direct support for Kameron Marlowe on his nationwide tour, which will wrap in mid-May.  With new music just released and more on the horizon, Tucker is well on his way to making a name for himself as one of the more promising young up-and-coming artists in the country mainstream circuit.
