CARLY PEARCE - fault line - Big Machine Records

Country music superstar Carly Pearce’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album, ‘hummingbird’, is less than a month away from being released to the masses, and the GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM Award-winning singer-songwriter is offering us all a finale preview of the forthcoming record with a new song.

“fault line” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Big Machine Records.

Written by Pearce along with Nicolle Galyon, Shane McAnally and Jordan Reynolds, the traditionally-laden tune is an ode to the musical stylings of the genre’s past that infatuated Carly as a young aspiring artist and even today.

“Some of my favorite songs were in the era of Tammy Wynette and George Jones,” Pearce said.  “’fault line’ is my take on writing one of those classic, ‘I’m gonna rip your head off’ country songs.  The playful angst in this song makes it one of my favorite moments on the record.”

A throwback tribute from the song’s onset, the melody and Carly’s southern belle anger will have the listeners immediately tapping toes, bobbing heads and laughingly singing along with the down-to-earth, classically-clever lyrics from start to finish.

“We’re livin’ on a fault line

Right down the middle of this house

Between the whiskey and the red wine

It’s like we’re standin’ on shaky ground

It always hits about midnight

Should probably go and find a “For Sale” sign

‘Cause we’re livin’ on a fault line

And the fault is always mine”

Following “my place,” “Heels Over Head,” and “hummingbird” as previous releases off the new album, as well as “Country Music Made Me Do It” and the Grammy-nominated, Top 20 single “We Don’t Fight Anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton.  The 14-track effort is Pearce’s debut as a co-producer while also serving as a new chapter for the songstress, who explores the boundaries of the genre, both lyrically and musically, in a collection that will gain the Kentucky native prestige and respect amongst fans, critics, and fellow artists alike.

A renaissance woman on the road for the past few years, Pearce is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.  She is currently on the road as direct support for all dates of Tim McGraw’s 2024 STANDING ROOM ONLY TOUR through the summer while also making special appearances at some of the country’s biggest festivals of the year.

With the upcoming release of ‘hummingbird’ on June 7th and a UK / EU tour slated for early 2025, Carly’s star is amazingly set to shine even a little brighter in the coming months.
