UNCLE KRACKER - Beach Chair - Sturegon General Records
Since the release of his solo debut album in 2000, Uncle Kracker has remained a mainstay across the music spectrum with a feel-good melting pot soundtrack of country, pop, and rock. Showing no signs of slowing down, the Multi-Platinum artist is back with a new tune, set to fall in line with his seemingly-endless list of fun, easy going tunes that are perfect for summer. “Beach Chair” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Sturgeon General Records.
Written by Uncle Kracker (Matthew Shafer), Joe Benke and Greg Schleicher, this song is a musical escape to paradise, both musically and lyrically, setting the ambiance of a carefree trip to the sand and waves while unwinding and enjoying the moment.
This is yet another feel-good, relatable track featuring clever lyricism and infectious melodies that will have fans dancing and singing along upon their first listen. His trademark vocal delivery is on point as usual, giving the tune that extra dose of country pop crossover appeal that we have come to know and love from the Michigan native.
“Nobody dressed to the 9’s
Ain’t got no 9 to 5
Just hundred proof and a lime
I’m ‘bout to free my mind
Salt on the tongue
Sand on the toes
Whatever happened it happened
And we ain’t thinkin’ about it anymore”
As hard as it is to believe, we might have forgotten just how much we missed this multi-genre hitmaker’s music until now. Whether it’s country, pop, or somewhere in between, the music world needs Uncle Kracker. And it looks like we are fortunate enough to witness the latest chapter in his music catalogue.
From his 2000 debut record, ‘Double Wide’, which featured the hit-single “Follow Me”, all the way to his most recent LP, 2012’s ‘Midnight Special’, as well as recent tunes of the past year including “Sweet 16,” “Reason To Drink,” and “Cruising Altitude,” Uncle Kracker has always had the ability to deliver just what his audience wants and needs. With the rumor of a brand-new album in the works and set for release later this year, the anticipation is building with the release of “Beach Chair” as well as his trek across the country with Kenny Chesney on his SUN GOES DOWN 2024 TOUR.
