Newly-formed country music duo Ryan and Rory have released their debut single, a summertime anthem about “self-healing” heartache with a night of partying with friends.  “Pour Decisions” is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms via BBR Music Group / BMG Nashville.

Consisting of 2X platinum #1 songwriter Ryan Follese and Raleigh, NC multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Rory John Zak, Ryan and Rory are offering a glimpse into their highly-anticipated self-titled debut EP, due July 26^th everywhere.

Written by Follese along with Kevin Bard, Emily Reid, Maya Kurchner, and Remy Gautreau, this tune showcases the guys’ carefree attitude, even in the face of heartbreak and grief following the end of a relationship.  The temporary emotional band-aid that is a night out with friends is on full display here, as the tune opens with a steady rhythm and the quick, cleverly crafted chorus.

The vibe is constant from start to finish, something that was a focus of the duo, who felt it was the perfect introduction of their music to the country music mainstream.

“This song is one of those rare experiences where it felt like you have a co-writer up above and the song kind of writes itself,” Ryan said.  “It doesn’t happen often, but when it does everyone feels it.  We can’t thank our co-writers, studio personnel, our team and label enough for making this special song our very first release.”

The lyrics are short, simple, yet creatively constructed that will lend itself to singalongs from listeners and followers out on the town or driving in their cars.

So how’s about we let the liquor do the heavy lifting

Can only get so far getting over them with drinking

The only way to fix it is to make some pour decisions”

Due out in the middle of summer, the duo’s self-titled debut EP features the strengths of both of its members, including Ryan’s songwriting (on all six tracks) and Rory’s instrumental and vocally harmonic talents.  These two artists are seasoned veterans as both songwriters as well as the touring circuit, and combining their talents and passion is sure to put the country music world on notice.  Their debut is sure to make quite the impression with fans, just in time for summer.
