KOLBY COOPER - Mama - Wheelhouse Records/Combustion Music

Kolby Cooper has long been a household name for fans and followers of the Texas music scene.  From “Boy From Anderson County” and “Good For You” to “One Night Stand” and “Way To Go”, the country crooner’s songs have resonated within the Lonestar state market for years.  Now, the Bradford, TX native continues to make the transition from regional to national success with the release of a brand-new single.  “Mama” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Wheelhouse Records / Combustion Music.

Cooper’s latest release is a high energy, passion-filled anthem to its core, showcasing his powerhouse vocal command and gritty, blue-collar approach to country music.  As is the case with all of his music, “Mama” centers around a concept that he feels he feels passionately about and is one of his core values of devotion, support, and loyalty.

“To me, ‘Mama’ is about always having people in your corner fighting for you and wanting what’s best for you, even when you don’t deserve it,” Kolby said.

An infectious beat with an energetic vibe from the first chord, this song is one that will resonate with the listener long after its conclusion.  The lyrics are down-to-earth yet sophisticated, something that fans, new and old, have come to know and love about the country crooner.

“Don’t put that on me, mama

I’ve talked to God before

It feels like He don’t wanna

Hear from me no more

This devil in the bottle

Don’t wanna let me go

There ain’t no holy water

Gonna save my soul

Those prayers you sent me through the ceilin’

No, they ain’t worth a heart like mine

God knows my shoulders don’t need the weight of the world tonight

Don’t put that on me, mama”

At just 25 years old, Kolby Cooper has the presence and bravado of a seasoned veteran.  He has amassed over 384 million on-demand streams and released a critically-acclaimed label-debut album, ‘Boy From Anderson County To The Moon’.  From the time he was barely out of high school, Cooper has made a name for himself as a prolific songwriter, one that wears his heart on his sleeve and doesn’t shy away from the tough topics or unpopular positions.  His songwriting ability is matched only by the vocal range, power and control with which he delivers every line, and as more mainstream country music fans are introduced to this man and his music, the sky is the limit for this Texas native and soon-to-be household name.
