BRETT YOUNG - Goodnight Into Good Morning - Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment
Since the release of his self-titled debut record in 2017, Brett Young has imbedded himself in the hearts and minds of country music fans, with his unique blend of west coast-influenced southern melodies and beautifully harmonious vocals about life and love, and everything in between. The diamond-selling and ACM Award-winning star is back with a new tune, one that sparks the hopeless romantic that exists somewhere in all of us. “Goodnight Into Good Morning” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.
Written by Young along with Jon Nite and Jimmy Robbins, this latest track is an inspiring account of the birth of a new relationship, one that is still in its first night but feels like it could be the beginning of forever. Brett has always shined in these moments, perfectly articulating the love and passion that we all feel, or wish we felt, for another person. “Goodnight Into Good Morning” follows that trend, telling a tale of the opening chapter of a new love story.
“’Goodnight Into Good Morning’ is a song about a night that is going so perfectly with somebody that you both wish it didn’t have to end,” Young said. “And a chemistry so undeniable that makes time almost stand still until before you know it…the sun is coming up.”
Headlined by a smooth melody and catchy mid-tempo rhythms alongside Young’s trademark vocal delivery, this song sways through the verses and chorus delightfully with quick, clever lyrics and sentimentally memorable sounds and professions. This is a trademark Brett Young tune to its core from start to finish, one that will resonate with fans, new and old, from the very first listen.
“Girl, you got this barstool feeling like a corner booth
This bar crowd feeling like a room for two
Forgive me if I’m wrong, dear
But ain’t there something going on here?
Got one drink begging for another round
Got me feeling like there ain’t no slowing down
The way that bottle’s pouring
And your eyes keep exploring
Tonight is feeling like the kinda night that turns goodnight into good morning”
The release of “Goodnight Into Good Morning” follows his acoustic version of his fourth studio album, ‘Across The Sheets (Barefoot Edition)’, first available in May. Included in the album was an acoustic version of his hit single, “Dance With You”, which has tallied more than 220 million streams. To date, Young has garnered nearly 10 billion career streams, while his No. 1 single, “In Case You Didn’t Know” recently achieved Diamond status, being only the ninth country music single to do so in RIAA history.
