JADE EAGLESON FT. JAKE WORTHINGTON - Do It Anyway - Starseed Records
Since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2020, Jade Eagleson has been a mainstay on the Canadian country radio charts. Now, as his fourth single hit No. 1 earlier this summer, the multi-platinum artist has released a fresh take on a fan favorite. “Do It Anyway,” featuring Jake Worthington, is available now via Starseed Records.
The title track off Jade’s critically-acclaimed album, ‘Do It Anyway’, this is a tune with 90’s country nostalgia with echoes of the “live every day like it’s your last” mentality. For Eagleson, the chance to record a new version of this track with Worthington was a perfect opportunity and something he had wanted to do for some time.
“I really appreciate what Jake is doing for country music, and I have wanted to collaborate with him since I first heard his much,” Jade said. “I’m grateful that he wanted to jump on this new version of the song with me. ‘Do It Anyway’ is a song that deeply resonates with me. It feels like it was written about me.”
The lyrical content is thought-provoking, no doubt, taking the listener on a tour through the songwriters’ and singers’ hearts and minds, while also enticing them to look at themselves and their own lives. Musically, this is a 90’s classic, with a boot-stomping beat and a dance-hall feel, dripping with fiddle and steel, exposing itself to the traditional country fan in all of us.
“Anyway I want
The only way that I know how
Yeah, the way I’ve always done it
Is the way I do it now
I’m here to have a good time
I ain’t got no time to waste
I know that it could all be over any day
So I do it anyways”
Since his debut in 2020, Jade has tallied 305 million global streams and 120 million views on Youtube, won numerous awards as well as Gold-certified and platinum-certified singles. The 2023 CCMA Awards Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year added Worthington to this new version of “Do It Anyway”, which takes it to a whole other level.
From La Porte, TX, Worthington is quickly making a name for himself as one of the more promising young stars on the country music horizon. Having released his 13-track self-titled debut album, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest stars in the genre while also hitting the road and performing at the largest festivals in the country.
