  DYLAN SCOTT - You'd Think I Was A Cowboy - Curb Records

Enjoying perhaps the biggest year of his award-winning career to this point, Dylan Scott looks to continue his hot streak with the release of a brand-new tune.  “You’d Think I Was A Cowboy” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Curb Records.

Written by Scott along with Will Weatherly, Jaxson Free and Michael Whitworth, this new tune expresses the feral emotion of love that makes the country star feel wild and free.

Accompanying the song’s release was the debut of the official music video, which holds special significance to Dylan on a personal level.

“I had a blast recording this song”, Scott said.  “The music video is special to me too because it stars my wife.  She’s been my rock throughout my career, so bringing her into the process is always great.  I’m the furthest thing from a cowboy, but I had fun channeling that energy for the video.”

Over the course of his career, Scott has worked and written songs with the biggest names in the business, churning out chart-topping hits consistently for years.  Constantly finding new ways to tell common stories, the platinum-selling recording artist has once again offered a unique approach to a love song.  This is yet another unapologetic modern country song from start to finish, one that showcases his rock-and-pop-influenced flair along with his trademark (and often under-appreciated) singing ability.

Scott’s rich vocal delivery have always perfectly lent itself to deeper love songs that just beg to be compared to the early 2010’s era of country music when songs like the ones that he’s been releasing filled the airwaves.

“Girl you’d think I was a cowboy

Got you in my holster

Baby I’ve done roped ya

Pulled you into me

You’d think I was a cowboy

Out there in the wild west

Baby you’re the wildest thing I’ve ever seen

I could ride you off into a sunset

Light a fire in you with just one kiss

The way I rolled in with the dust and

Tamed you with my touch and

Saddled up your love

Girl you’d think I was a cowboy”

This latest release comes as Dylan is still riding the momentum of his 26-song deluxe album, ‘Livin’ My Best Life (Still)’.  With two singles currently impacting radio, “This Town’s Been Too Good To Us” and “Boys Back Home” with Dylan Marlowe, the record has already spawned five Gold or Platinum singles, three No. 1 songs, as well as multiple tracks on the Billboard Hot Country chart.

Earlier this year, Scott wrapped up a direct support trek with Cole Swindell on his Win The Night Tour, and he is currently headlining his own I Owe You One Tour, which concludes on October 11th in Hiawassee, GA.  With a heavy dose of releases this summer and perhaps another one expected, along with upcoming appearances at fairs and festivals through the rest of the year, Dylan is looking to end this monumental year in style.
