Nashville, TN native Ryan Larkins continues to build anticipation for his upcoming EP with the release of a new tune, one that showcases his illustrious talent as a singer and songwriter.  “Home State” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Red Street Records.

Written by Larkins along with Emily Doty and Seth Mosley, the relatable, down-to-earth track serves as a bit of an autobiographical account and a glimpse inside the heart and mind of a musician and songwriter who is enjoying the success of a budding country artist.

Musically-pleasant and lyrically-captivating, “Home State” tells the tale of a man on the road, living life but missing someone dear to his heart.  One can undoubtedly connect the dots between the narrator of the song and Larkins himself, who has spent the majority of this year traveling across the country, playing countless headlining gigs while also opening for the likes of Willie Nelson and Priscilla Block, among others.

It's always easy to tell when a recording artist was a songwriter first.  Not only are the songs well-written, but they are personalized for the writer’s vocals and style, and this rings true for “Home State”.  The simplistic yet poetic lyrics glide alongside the acoustic guitar-driven mid-tempo melody for an effortless medley of perfection.

The words flow like a diary from his heart and mind to our ears, and his mild-mannered vocal bravado is candidly strong yet soothing to the ears and the melody swoons, swirls and glides for pleasant, relaxing yet through-provoking experience.

The release of his latest tune comes as Ryan is enjoying a life-changing year, imbedding himself in the country music mainstream world with impressive success and accolades out of the gate.

“This has been one of the most exciting seasons of my life, from performing on the Opry, receiving a MusicRow award, to my ACM and CMA nominations,” Larkins said.  “I love the new music I’m making, and I’m so thrilled to release my new song, ‘Home State’”.

Beginning his songwriting career at just 12 years of age, Larkins has made himself a sough-after talent by some of the biggest names in country music over the years.  Landing cuts with the likes of Bill Anderson and Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, and Cody Johnson in the past, Ryan now seems poised to step into the spotlight and showcase his ability as a well-rounded artist and performer.  “Home State” is the second track off his upcoming EP, ‘Bones’, which also the title track as his current single.
