KASEY TYNDALL - Not As I've Done - MNRK Music
Country-rock singer songwriter Kasey Tyndall exploded onto the scene with her brand of hard-hitting edge that demanded and deserved the attention and respects of fans. Garnering the reputation as an artist to keep an eye on with the brightest of bright futures, Tyndall is back with the first preview of her career’s latest chapter, one that showcases a softer side of the talented songstress. “Not As I’ve Done” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via MNRK Music.
Written solely by Kasey and released during National Daughters Week, “Not As I’ve Done” is a lyrical ode inspired by her 16-month old daughter and what she hopes for her future.
The heartfelt track is an honest account of her hopes and dreams for her child, accenting admonitory lessons that she, herself, wishes she acknowledged and abided by warned by her own mother.
“I wrote this single as a map for my daughter as she grows up,” Tyndall said. “My goal was to express how mommas feel as you go through life and help your children not make those same mistakes that you wish you could go back on. I can’t wait for fans to listen and get a peek at this next chapter of my music and life.”
Whereas previously releases highlighted her ability to slap us fans in the face (in a good way) with her brand of recklessly brilliant country rock, her latest release is offering a sentimental, sensitive side that exists in her and somewhere in all of us.
It’s a pleasant listen from start to finish, with the thoughtful melody gliding from verse to chorus while paving the uninterrupted focus on Tyndall’s beautiful vocals that profess the clever, down-to-earth, honest lyrics to which we can all relate.
“Oh girl
Take it from your momma
Sure wish I took it from mine
Someday soon you’re gonna wanna
See how far you can bend that line
Heaven help you I’m the one
That you’ll get your wild side from
The shell don’t fall far from the gun
So do as I say
Not as I’ve done”
In what will inevitably and undoubtedly be one of the more anticipated releases, “Not As I’ve Done” is the first single off her forthcoming self-titled debut label album via MNRK Music, expected in early 2025.
Her aggressively brilliant tunes to date include “A Place For Me” with Dylan Marlowe, as well as “Nothin’ Wrong With Being Country,” “Jesus and Joan Jett,” and “Dirt Road To Hell”, among others. Now, as she turns the page to a new chapter, the sky appears to be the limit with what this talented singer-songwriter can accomplish. In addition to new music soon-to-be permeating the airwaves, Kasey is on the road as a special guest on the tours of Ian Munsick and Ella Langley through the fall.
