JET JURGENSMEYER -Found You - Simba Entertainment
Following the immense success paved by his recent album THE RIDE: phase 2 and its hotly received singles “Good Days,” “Coffee Bar,” and “Falling Too,” singer-songwriter/actor Jet Jurgensmeyer has today returned with anticipated new music.
“Found You” is now available on all streaming and digital platforms.
Jurgensmeyer says on the release, “This song captures the beauty of deep connection and those fleeting yet profound moments we experience in love. I hope listeners feel the love woven into this song and resonate with those moments as if they’re part of their own stories.”
Co-written with Caroline Woodfill and Aron Rosing, smoothing into an acoustic, melodically led singer-songwriter vibe allows for the raw edges of Jet’s otherwise clean vocals to lace the emotional bends that travel reflectively from his being lost in loneliness to his finding the answered light to his prayers when his better half arrived and saved him.
Remembering through the opening verse who he was without her, he laments on how he wasn’t the same person back then as he is now and how he had nothing to his name but a couple of broken dreams, bad days, and burnouts.
However, flowing back into the exuberant reality of the here and now when he admires that her smiling at him is all he needs to get by, he slides into the praise filled chorus with a showering of awestricken appreciation:
“You’re an angel on my shoulder
With a shoulder I can cry on
Swearing that you’re all in
And you’ll always leave the light on
I thought praying’s all that I could do
Til I found you”
Kicking into a more jubilant pace in the second half of the song, the instrumentation skillfully mimics his increasing heartbeat as he falls further into his praising of her, guiding the ways that she got his life back on track while cleverly crosschecking Biblical truths into descriptive turns throughout the bridge that draw bold comparative between her grace and patience with the attributes of God’s unconditional love.
With each next song that layers his career path, Jet Jurgensmeyer has showcased a growth spurt through an honest connection with his 20-something listeners by pulling from the diary pages of his own life while continually offering testaments of his uniquely keen way of grafting poetically swerved words into heartfelt authenticity.
