CHASE MATTHEW - Drives My Truck - Warner Music Nashville
We are less than a month away from the release of Chase Matthew’s highly-anticipated third full-length studio album, and the Nashville native is unveiling a brand-new track as perhaps the final preview to the forthcoming record. “Drives My Truck” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Warner Music Nashville.
Written by Matthew along with Brock Berryhill and Taylor Phillips, this latest effort is a flirtatious throwback to the truck songs of the ‘90s, complete with a high-octane mix of turbo-charged swagger, heavy-duty drums, and redlined electric guitars. The up-tempo track finds Chase, a real-life car enthusiast, right in his comfort zone, crooning about losing control in all the best ways when your girl takes the wheel.
“She's burning that gas, smoking those tires
Setting this old boy's heart on fire
She gets me just like it, all jacked up
My baby drives me crazy when she drives my truck”
From start to finish, this track is fast, in your face, and unapologetically aggressive and fun. This one is for the country rocker in all of us, and we are all here for it.
Following “Missin’ Me Missin’ You” and “Backroads Of My Mind”, “Drives My Truck” is one of 13 tracks to be included on ‘Chase’, due out on February 21st. The forthcoming record features eight tunes that Matthew co-wrote as well as one solo write, making this easily his most personal and reflective project to date.
Arriving after a multi-year run of undeniable success, ‘Chase’ follows the 2024 release of EPs ‘Always Be Mine’ and ‘We All Grow Up’ (featuring radio single “Darlin’”); 2023’s sophomore album ‘Come Get Your Memory’ (with the GOLD-certified, Top 5 debut single “Love You Again”); and Matthew’s 2022 album debut, ‘Born for This’.
Chase earned his first RIAA PLATINUM-certification with “County Line,” and has notched 1 BILLION+ global career streams, while performing more than 145 shows last year alone – rocking over 1 MILLION fans on his Come Get Your Memory Tour, plus supporting spots with Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean. Looking ahead, tickets for Matthew’s 2025 world tour are on sale and going fast, as he plans a headlining run across the U.S., U.K., and Europe, before joining Keith Urban’s High and Alive World Tour this summer, with dates in the U.S. and Australia.
