MIRANDA LAMBERT - Run - Republic Records

Three-time Grammy award winning superstar Miranda Lambert has released her first track of the new year, one that continues the trend of empowerment, vulnerability, and honesty that country music fans have been falling in love with over the past 24 years since she exploded onto the scene.  “Run” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Republic Records.

Written entirely by Lambert herself, the song features cleverly-crafted lyrics that are delivered through Miranda’s trademark twangy confident vocal demeanor, riddled with ebbs and flows that take the song’s emotional impact to a whole new level.

“I wasn’t ever ready to perform it until now,” Lambert said.  “That’s what songs are for, and you may not be ready at that one time to sing about something really raw…but then it can come back around.  This song is an admission of human error too…it’s an apology, but it’s also a resolve.”

An aggressive, edgy hook with a clean finish, the melody sets the tone for a statement of empowerment and a sense of reality that is so often the missing component and the cause of the end of a relationship.

The vocals are strong, the music is bold, and the lyrics are confidently honest.  Telling a tale of regret, deception and escape, the tune ebbs and flows its way through a pulse-racing, adrenaline-pumping musical rollercoaster of feelings and emotions as the listener gravitates towards the heart and mind of Lambert as she croons her way through a heartfelt, vulnerable tribute to a relationship’s demise.

Serving as her first release of 2025, “Run” follows “Wranglers” as the second single off ‘Postcards from Texas,’ which arrived in September and continued her unbroken streak of 10 consecutive Top 10s on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. 

A multi-dimensional superstar with a miraculous career that has now spanned decades, Lambert has earned seven No. 1 solo albums, 10 No. 1 hit radio singles, more than 80 prestigious awards and countless RIAA certifications; conquered Las Vegas with her twice-extended Velvet Rodeo residency.
