JON PARDI - Love The Lights Out - Capitol Records Nashville
As Jon Pardi gears up for the release of his forthcoming fifth studio album, the country music superstar continues to share previews of the record with the release of a brand-new track. “Love The Lights Out” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Capitol Records Nashville.
Co-written by Pardi along with Jimi Bell and Matt Dragstrem, the flirtatious new number is a sultry, subtly-sexy account of love, affection, and desire. Featuring slide guitar hooks and an irresistible hook that has become a trademark of Pardi’s songs over the years, “Love The Lights Out” is a steamy, soulful ode to intimately intense love for another person.
“Sometimes, you can’t get your boots off fast enough,” Pardi said. “But, this isn’t about one of those nights. This one is for appreciating when you’ve got something good and can take your time.”
Falling perfectly in line with what fans have come to expect from the “California King”, this tune features elements of soul, rock, and splashes of traditional rudiments with his signature twang, collectively instilling the high-octane energy of a modern country track.
“Let’s love the lights out
Knock some things off the wall
Burn the night down, down
Till that black dress falls
Wreck me like it’s the last time, baby
Your lips on mine still drive me crazy
Let me love you, let me love you till the lights out
Gonna love you, gonna love you till the lights out”
Continuing to build anticipation for what is forthcoming this spring, “Love The Lights Out” is the latest off ‘HonkyTonk Hollywood,’ Pardi’s fifth studio album, set for release on April 11th.
The California native is set to take his career to the next level with this new album, and it has plenty large shoes to fill. With four Top 5 albums, including 2016’s Platinum No. 1 ‘California Sunrise’, Pardi has slated fourteen RIAA-certified singles as well as six No 1’s, including the 6x Platinum “Head Over Boots” and “Dirt On My Boots”. To date, the hit-maker has tallied over 9.3 billion global streams.
After headlining shows in the US and Australia this spring, Pardi will kick off his “Honkytonk Hollywood Tour” on April 25, hitting arenas and amphitheaters across the US with support from Corey Kent on select dates and Kassi Ashton.
