PARMALEE - Feels Like Home - Stoney Creek Records

Parmalee is no stranger to stretching the boundaries of country music’s borders into an attraction for music lovers across all genres, notching five #1 songs including the massive, crossover smash “Just The Way” (with Blanco Brown).

As their current single “Cowgirl” climbs the charts, the multi-Platinum group continues today to further tease their forthcoming album Fell In Love With A Cowgirl.

“Feels Like Home” is available on all streaming and digital platforms via Stoney Creek Records.

“We’ve always believed that music can transport someone to a place where they feel like they belong, where they feel right at home,” said the band. “We also believe that the right person can do that too. That’s what this song is about. That one who makes you feel right at home when you’re with them.”

Written by Matt Thomas, David Fanning, Ashley Gorley, Beau Bailey and Ned Cameron, the melodic flow encompasses the pop splashed aura of the modern era as it floats along the drive of the persistent backbeat, allowing the richness of Thomas’ lead vocals to lend awestricken appreciation to the love story embedded in the lyrics.

Embracing how all the roads he traveled in life were specifically designed to lead him to her, he upholds that there was no second guessing that she was the one for him on the August day that they first met, affectionately swooning praises on knowing that she was then - and still is – way out of his league.

Using Biblical ideals throughout the second verse, and lifting a Hallelujah in the bridge, helps to provide strong depth to the internal heart transformation she brought to his life, comparing his angel to a Sunday morning sermon as the exhilaration of the chorus expertly melds the anxious butterflies of stepping into the unknown with the warm comfort of the place one is most familiar with.

“You're everywhere I've never been
But kinda like the place I grew up in
The answеr to all my amens
Like I've known you all my lifе
One kiss and forever to go
You're a small town turnin' down streets of gold
Easy on the eyes, good for my soul
You look like heaven and you feel like home
(Home, home, home)
Yeah, you look like Heaven and you feel like”

With the 7-track collection on its way in just over a month, part one of what will be a double release, combining with their current tour that has already seen crowds swell to exuberant capacity, Parmalee has created a deafening buzz on things to come as they continue to navigate their 2025 toward a batch of new tunes that are poised to capture the innovative essence of who they are in this next chapter.
