BRYCE LEATHERWOOD - Shenandoah - Mercury Records Nashville

Barely three months into the new year, and Bryce Leatherwood is already releasing his second new tune of 2025.  Serving as the latest preview of his forthcoming debut album, “Shenandoah” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Mercury Records Nashville.

Written by Leatherwood along with Jeffrey East and Josh Kelley, this is a sweeping romantic ballad that showcases string and steel while focusing on raw sonic beauty as a vulnerable and reflecting ode and homage to the world around us.  It was a deeply personal write for Bryce, who reminisced on his own life and experiences as inspiration during the writing process.

“Growing up in North Georgia surrounded by the mountains, I was always inspired by the natural beauty around me,” Leatherwood said.  “I really wanted to carry that inspiration into a song that reminded me of home while I’m in Nashville, and this was that song for me.”

Vocally-rich and musically-ambient, this tune sets the vibe of a down-to-earth, emotionally-honest and vulnerably-progressive exploration of one’s thoughts and feelings about nature and the world that we so often take for granted.

“Shenandoah

My songbird on a sunset night

Your beauty is the yearning kind

Oh yeah

Don’t you know ya

Live inside my heart and mind

Every morning noon and night

I want ya

I need ya

I love ya

Shenandoah”

Following “Where The Bar Is”, “Shenandoah” is the second release off of Leatherwood’s upcoming, self-titled debut album.  The 12-track album, featuring some of the industry’s top songwriting talents, is scheduled for release on May 16th.  The forthcoming record serves as a major milestone for the Woodstock, GA native, one that is not taking for granted.

“I dreamt of making a record since the first day I picked up a guitar at 12 years old,” Bryce said.  “I’ve spent the past two years developing this album, choosing each song with intention, creating the best introduction to who I am as an artist.  I am beyond proud of how it turned out, and can’t wait to share it with ya’ll.”

The release of “Shenandoah” and “Where The Bar Is” follows “Hung Up On You”, Leatherwood’s debut single which arrived at country radio as the most-added single, with 45 first-week adds.  Most of the world was first introduced to the talented singer-songwriter when he won Season 22 of NBC’s The Voice.  From there, he signed a management deal with Morris Higham Management in 2022, followed by a record deal with Republic Records and Mercury Nashville in October 2023.

Leatherwood made his Grand Ole Opry debut and also released his debut single in 2024, and now the soulful crooner continues to take his promising career to the next level with a strong start to 2025 with two new tunes out to the masses as momentum builds toward his debut album’s release in the coming months.
