LAUREN ALAINA - Household - Big Loud Records

The next chapter in the escalating career of Lauren Alaina continues to be written with the release of a brand-new tune, one that showcases the sassy side of her personality while encouraging us all to get up, dance, and sing along.  “Household” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Big Loud Records.

Written by Alaina along with Casey Brown, Lydia Vaughan, Parker Welling and produced by Joey Moi, the cleverly-crafted tune uses a play on words to ask how much Hell can a house hold.

Throughout her career, the Georgia native has released a well-represented collection of widely-diverse tunes, from soft, sentimental ballads to upbeat dance numbers.  This latest release, though, perfectly represents and articulates her personality from start to finish, from the musical arrangement to the lyrics and vocal delivery.

“’Household’ is the perfect blend of southern grit and sass,” Alaina said.  “We have all been in a ‘how much hell can a house hold’ scenario.  I wrote this song after listening to one of my best friends vent about her relationship.  It may not reflect my own marriage, but I think it showcases my personality flawlessly.”

From the song’s onset, the listener is immediately intrigued by the undeniably catchy hook and infectious beat, quickly followed by the quick, rhythmic sing-along verse and pick up the pace through the first chorus.  It’s a head-bobbing, boot-stomping good time throughout, with a beat, vibe, and message that will resonate with us immediately after the first listen.

“House, hold it together

Diamond ring around the rosie forever

That’s what good girls do

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been told

I ain’t a Barbie doll, he ain’t no Ken

These four walls about to cave in

Home sweet home never felt so cold

How much hell can a house hold?”

Signaling more music is on the horizon, “Household” follows “Those Kind Of Women”, a tender, emotional ballad which its accompanying music video formally announced Lauren’s pregnancy.  This is the first taste of new music from the powerhouse songstress since her six-song 2023 EP, ‘Unlocked’.

Alaina has earned three chart-topping hits: RIAA Platinum-certified “Road Less Traveled,” Diamond “What Ifs” with her childhood friend Kane Brown, and 3X Platinum “ONE BEER” with labelmate HARDY as well as Devin Dawson.  Over the years, she has also collaboratively-released tunes with Corey Kent (Now Or Never”), Lainey Wilson (“Thicc As Thieves”), and Chris Lane (“Dancin’ IN The Moonlight”), among others.

This year, she was named as special guest on the highly-anticipated Rascal Flatts’ “Life Is A Highway Tour”, and with a pair of new tunes out to the masses, one can only speculate what the rest of the year has in store for the Grand Ole Opry member.
