Crossover appeal on different entertainment platforms is often a key factor to finding multiple avenues of visibility, which when it all culminates in the right ways, will result in a new artist discovery that instantly earns them a buzzworthy status and artist to watch tag.

That’s exactly what the case has been for Amanda Jordan throughout 2022.

Though her casting in multiple Hallmark and Lifetime movies has certainly helped elevate her actress status, music remained the majority focus and provided the catalyst for her biggest breakout success thanks in part to a performance of her single “I Choose You” on The Bachelor – a song which has already earned her over a whopping 1 million Spotify streams. 

Striking while the iron’s hot, Jordan now takes the next step forward on her music journey as she now delivers her brand-new single “Break Your Heart.”

Written by Jimmy Robbins, Nicolle Gaylon, and Kelsea Ballerini, the ultra-catchy, pop country gem allows Jordan to move into an ear-catching, bop along with tempo in comparison to the slower paced “I Choose You,” which masterfully lets her unravel another intriguing layer into who she is as an artist while providing a bold showcase of her crisp vocals and extremely strong know-how in keeping the focus on her voice and lyrics while an infectious pop backbeat swirls around her.

Taking an honest look in the mirror when she finds herself falling for the guy in her life, and as she is now standing at the starting line of taking that next step in the budding relationship, she uses the verses to explain all the good, bad, and ugly of who she is, telling him exactly what he’s getting into with her as she describes herself as being a bull in a China shop, reckless behind the wheel, and an unpredictable wild card.

However, these descriptions of her edgy personality are simply in place to lead us to the reassuring punch that she offers him in the chorus, first telling him not to be scared when everyone is saying that he needs to proceed with caution, before revealing that underneath all her rough exterior is someone who isn’t going to break his heart; something she also reassures of in the second verse when she tells him that she won’t, “leave you with no scars.”

When you look at the list of hitmaking songwriters who penned “Break Your Heart,” you automatically know that it will be a very solid song. However, it takes the perfect artist to place their vocal into those lyrics and add the kiss of believability to them that will make it connect with the listener the moment they hear it. Amanda Jordan is that voice!

She perfectly finds all the places to tilt the emotional charge so that it encompasses the nervousness that arrives when your heart is naturally falling for someone, while also upholding all the right touches of anxiety that comes with trying to convince the other person to take a leap of faith because a reputation isn’t what defines who they are, but rather it’s how they will treat your heart that matters most.
