MICHAEL RAY - Nothin' Else - Warner Music Nashville

After teasing fans with a snippet that drew an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response, Michael Ray has released a brand new song, available now digitally and on all streaming platforms.  “Nothin’ Else” is set to impact playlists of listeners everywhere, courtesy of Warner Music Nashville.

“I’m so proud of this song,” Ray shared.  “’Nothin’ Else’ is the first taste of new music, and to see the fans gravitate towards this one and show it so much love so early on makes me excited to share more of what we’ve been working on.”

Ray, of course, scored success with his hit singles in years past, including “Think A Little Less,” “Kiss You In The Morning,” and “One That Got Away.”  And while those tunes made him a rising start in the industry and were high-quality releases, Michael’s career is escalating to new heights as he continues down this new path of musicianship over the past couple years.

There are profound elements of traditional 90’s country strewn throughout this bluesy love ballad, complete with heavy steel guitar and Ray’s trademark swoony vocal delivery.  The lyrics are short, clear, and to the point, emphasizing the passion and emotion behind each line.  In a world that is busy and full of stressors and deadlines, Ray is wishing for time away from the everyday hustle to be with the one he loves.

Once again, Michael shows off his impressively deceptive vocal power and range, something that is often undermined by his on-stage presence and delivery of up-beat catchy modern country melodies of the past.  This guy can sing, and the passion and intensity with which he delivers these lyrics takes this song to the next level.

Written by Brandon Kinney and Josh Thompson and produced by Michael Knox, “Nothin’ Else” is latest installment a new chapter of music for the Eustis, FL native.  His maturity as a singer and an artist continues to grow, and is adding a new dimension to what has already been a wildly successful career.

“Nothin’ Else” follows “We Should Get A Drink Sometime,”, “Spirits & Demons,”, “Get Her Back,” and “Workin’ On It” as previous tunes off his recent ‘Dive Bars & Broken Hearts’ EP, released in June 2023.  The aforementioned “Spirits & Demons,” a duet with Meghan Patrick, continues to climb to new heights at country radio.

Ray is currently in the studio working on a follow-up to his recent ‘Dive Bars & Broken Hearts’ EP, while fans can catch him on the road on select dates across the country through the spring and summer.
